Lynne H. Barg passed away on April 11, 2018 in Tooele, Utah. Born to LaMar S. Hills and Melba J. Bringhurst in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 3, 1938. Lynne married Don C. Barg on June 10, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lynne earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in Elementary Education. Lynne and her husband enjoyed life in the Western United States; living in Idaho Falls, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, and Idaho Falls again, before retiring in Stansbury Park.
Lynne was an accomplished flutist. She met her husband, Don, while with the University of Utah marching band. She continued to play most if her life performing in church functions.
Lynne was active in the church all her life and was counselor in several Relief Society presidencies. One calling that she was very passionate about was her work with Genealogy and extracting information from microfilms originating in Spain and other parts of Latin America.
Survived by Husband, Don; Sons, Stephen (Kay) and Richard (Karen) Barg; Daughters, Kirsten Barg and Lisa Trick; and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Parents and Brothers, Frank and LaMar "Tig" Jr. Hills.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Benson Mill Ward (417 Benson Road, Stansbury Park, UT). Friends and family may call Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple, SLC, UT) as well as Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ward prior to services. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
