Merle Jackman Davies

1944 ~ 2013

Merle Jackman Davies, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away December 3rd. Surrounded by her family she peacefully left this world after a valiant three month fight with cancer.

Merle was born May 10, 1944 to Earl and Gwen Jackman and was the youngest of three children. She met her sweetheart Dale Lewis Davies while in high school. They married October 28, 1959 and were later sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on May 30, 1995. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served in many callings including: Gospel Doctrine, Scouts, Young Women's, but her favorite calling was serving as the Primary President. She loved singing, writing /directing the Ward road shows, gardening, traveling, and she had a great love for animals.

Merle's family was the main focus of her life and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children: Shawn (Maria), Kelly(Roxanne), Cory, Shannon, Brian(Kirsten), Brendon(Kuki), ten grandchildren , five great-grandchildren, her brother Dee(Tami) Jackman and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Mona Hall and grandson, Samuel.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Riverside 1st Ward, 5425 South 600 West, Murray, with viewings at the church Friday 6-8pm and Sat. 10:30-11:45am. Interment in Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences at www. larkincares.com
