Frank Goddard Everett

1924 ~ 2014

Frank Goddard Everett was born in Ogden, Utah, to John Edward and Erma Williams Goddard Everett September 24, 1924. He married Kathryn Burton in the Salt Lake Temple on August 15, 1944. Three days later he began his service in the South Pacific Theatre during WWII.

He graduated from South High School, LDS Business College and the University of Washington School of Executive Development. His career spanned 32 years in the Savings and Loan industry. He was tireless in his service to his church which included many years of temple service.

Upon retirement, he shared his creations in wood with family and friends—supplies often gathered from his beloved family cabin. His character was defined by his integrity, gentle nature and endearing sense of humor. To Frank, everyone was a friend. He lived a life of dedicated service to God, country and family. He was our anchor in a world of shifting values.

He is survived by Kathryn, his wife of 70 years; children: Carolyn (Terry) Smith, Jim (Sally), David, and Rebecca (Don) Reese; 20 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren; brother Albert and sister Joanne Gardner. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Norman, sister Lucille Liddle, grandson Andrew Kontgis and great-granddaughter Morgan Wagner.

A viewing will be held Monday, July 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E South Temple and one hour prior to services at the ward. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Emigration 4th Ward, 589 18th Avenue. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
