Beverly "Kay" MacLean, age 81, passed away December 16, 2015. Kay was born on December 3, 1934 to Marlin Naylor Carter and Ruby Anderson in Morgan, UT. She was born in the back of a grocery store, where her parents were living at the time, during a snow storm and was delivered by her father, and then she was transported to the hospital. From these humble beginnings, she created a very successful and elegant life for herself.
She enjoyed her career in the medical field and especially like working with the Doctors at the Salt Lake Clinic. She loved her four legged children, Sheltie dogs, loved to garden and had a green thumb. She enjoyed spending time and tutoring her grand and great grandchildren and then later on in life she enjoyed traveling and taking cruises, and during the holidays she was asked to make the pies, which were spectacular.
Survivors include her children, Michael Black (Marsha), Jeffery Black (Mary), Shawnna Black, and step daughter Jocelyn, brothers; Robert Carter and David Witherby, grandchildren; Bart, Mjika, Erin, Kelci, Jennifer, Michelle and 22 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy. The family will receive friends from 12:30 ‚ 1:45pm at the mortuary prior to the service.
