Kevin Ira Hillyard

1951 ~ 2016

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend returned home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 2, 2016

Kevin was born on September 12, 1951 to Dr. Ira W. and Venice Lenore Hillyard, in Logan, Utah. Kevin was the 2nd of 3 children. His mother Venice passed in Feb., 1967. Ira remarried in May, 1970 to Norma Larsen Marziale, adding 8 children to the family. Kevin was raised in New Jersey and Idaho, where he graduated from Pocatello High School. He then attended 1 year of college at ISU, Pocatello. Kevin served an LDS mission in the North Carolina/Virginia Mission. It was there that he met his future bride, Debra Lynn Lane. Kevin and Debbie were married August 23, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. Kevin is the proud father of 3 sons; Jacob Adam, James Aaron and Jordan Andrew. Grandfather to 6 grandchildren. Kevin served in many church callings and has a deep faith of our Father in Heaven. Kevin worked for Clover Club for over 20 years. He enjoyed bowling, traveling with his family, sports (Go Utes!) and music. Kevin loved to make others smile and laugh, and always found a way to do so.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife Debbie of 42 years, his sons; Jacob (Carisa), James, and Jordan, grandchildren; AJ, Coley, Shadalyn, Jayven, Mykell and Austin. Sisters; Christine (Paul) Mehr, Sharon (Armel) Beardall, Cinni Paxton and Kaylene Blakeley. Brothers; Eric T. Hillyard, Jimmy Reed (Carol) Marziale, Jesse (Teresa) Marziale and Richard (Barbie) Marziale. Sister-in-laws; Patty (Tod) Spainhower and Suzi E. Summer. Brother-in-laws; Phillip (Amanda) Lane and Michael D. Lane. Niece; Reanna (Keever) Vincent. Nephew; Joshua S. Pester. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ira W. Hillyard, Venice L. Hillyard, Norma M. Hillyard, in-laws; Phillip B. Lane Sr., Beverly R. Anderson, Gary T. Summer and Howard H. Anderson. Sisters; Darlene Marziale White and Charlene Marziale Lambson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00am, at the Crescent Park 1st Ward Pampas Chapel, 10885 S. Pampas Dr., Sandy. A viewing will be held Saturday morning prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 am at the chapel. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy.
