Dianne Kay Rasi-Koskinen

1935 ~ 2018

Dianne Kay Steckler Rasi-Koskinen was born November 30, 1935 to Frank Andrew Steckler and Myrtle Kunz in Portland, Oregon. She passed away August 6, 2018 in Draper, UT. She grew up in Bern, ID where she was the valedictorian of Montpelier High and went on to attend Brigham Young University where she had a scholarship. She graduated with a BA in English and minors in German and Education. Upon graduation, she worked for Gordon B. Hinckley in the missionary department and as an English teacher. She was sealed to the Prince of Her Dreams, Kalevi Antero Rasi-Koskinen on July 28, 1961 in the Logan LDS Temple by Gordon B. Hinckley.

She was a Faithful Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and a Scriptorian. She served in many capacities; as Primary President, Young Women's and Relief Society presidencies, visiting teacher, and recently as the Ward Bulletin publisher. She served as Secretary to the Stake President, and helped countless others with their personal and family histories. She loved to be of service to provide meals-lovingly prepared to people whenever there was a need. She was an excellent cook and authored many cookbooks -some created individually for children and grandchildren to preserve the legacy of wonderful, comforting and traditional meals.

She is survived by her husband Kalevi, daughter Karin (Kevin), sons Kari (Amy) and Mark (Emily), and 17 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Wayne, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Cameo Park Ward, 8945 South 1700 East, Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held at the Cameo Park Ward, 8945 South 1700 East, Sandy, UT on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. For further information please visit www.larkincares.com.
