Karen Anne Goodsell, 67, has been reunited with her loved ones who left before her. She is now safe in the arms of her beloved mom who she loved and missed so much.
Karen was born June 25, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ralph and Catherine Goodsell and passed away May 4, 2018 after open heart surgery to replace infected valves in her heart. Karen had a very giving heart and was very generous to those she loved. She was extremely close to her nieces, nephews, and their kids.
Karen graduated from West High in 1968. She worked at Sweet Candy Co. for almost 48 years. She really cared about many of her coworkers and had great respect for Jack, Tony, and Rachel Sweet and loved her time spent with Jeff when he worked there. She was looking forward to a new chapter as she was planning to retire this August.
Our hearts are broken but we take great comfort that she is no longer uncomfortable or afraid.
Karen is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad; brothers, Butch and Rick. Survived by sister, Kathy; brothers, Randy and Richard (Shari); sister-in-law and good friend, Patti; nieces and nephews, Justin, Misty, Amanda, Brandy, Rich, Sheena; great-nieces and -nephews, Tierra, Mackenzie, Jaxon, Aiden, Brodie, Blaise, Nicolas, Lily, Lorelai, Addyson, Madelyn, Lucy, Adaline, Alec, and Evan.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12 noon at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street, with a visitation at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, beginning at 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Karen was always one to dress casually; we wish to honor her and ask guests to come as you are, in comfortable clothes for her services.
