Shawn A. Dansereau passed away on August 19, 2017 in Murray, UT. He was born November 26, 1974 in El Paso, TX to Danny and Valerie Dansereau. He married Emily Chamberlain in the Denver LDS Temple. They have been married for 19 years. Together they have two children, Tristan and Autumn. Shawn was a loving and devoted son, husband, father and brother.

Shawn was a talented builder, engineer and mechanic. He has been in construction management for 19 years.

Growing up, Shawn was a talented athlete. He enjoyed playing football, swimming and soccer. He played on the Utah State University Soccer team for one year. He loved hiking and climbing and has climbed over fourteen 14,000 ft. peaks in Colorado, earning the 14-er Award. However, his true passion was biking, both mountain and road biking. This passion began in high school while riding the foothills of the Rocky Mountains outside of Denver. Shawn had many friends in Utah and frequented the Timpanogos Canyon Ride. He completed the LOTOJA, a ride between Logan, UT and Jackson Hole, WY, as both an individual and relay biker.

He served an honorable mission in the California Anaheim Mission. Shawn loved the Boy Scouts of America as a youth and an adult leader. While he did not earn his Eagle, he completed Wood Badge Training and was a passionate leader helping other boys finish their Eagle rank early. Shawn has coached children since high school. He coached swimming, soccer, and later coached his own children in hockey. Hockey became his family's true passion.

Shawn had a big heart. Always going out of his way to help others before helping himself. We will miss him dearly every day.
