Devoted husband, father, and grandfather David Clarence Rostrom passed away February 21, 2016 of natural causes at home surrounded by his loving family. David was born October 18, 1935 in Mammoth, UT to Clarence and May Rostrom. He married Verna Mae Larson on June 10, 1955 in Vernon, UT.
David enjoyed spending time camping, boating, hunting, fishing and riding ATVs with his family. He lived life to the fullest, was very thoughtful and kind, and would do anything for his family and friends. He enjoyed the last 25 years living in Rose Canyon.
David worked many years in mining, and retired from Kennecott Copper after 31 years of service, and enjoyed 22 years of retirement with his loving wife.
David is survived by his wife Verna of 61 years, four children, Roger (Sheryl), Karla (Cal) Welch, Debbie (Chuck) Moon, and Dave (Kayleen), 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and sister, Louise Jensen. David is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Warren Hudson.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Larkin Mortuary in Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South from 10:00am to 11:00am. Graveside services will follow at 12:00pm at the Herriman Cemetery (12465 S. Pioneer Street - 6000 West).
