Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, Donna Meadows, passed away on July 5, 2015 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer. She was born January 25, 1935 to Frank and Beryl Larson in Logan, Utah. Donna married her high school sweetheart, Lee Meadows, on February 7, 1951 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 8, 1959. They were blessed with 5 children Don (DeeAnn), Darlene (Jim) Anderson, Denise (Steve) Martin, DeAnne (Russ) Nunley and Dean (Rene'), (Heidi). She loved her family more than anything..
Donna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Heavenly Father. She served in many callings throughout her life but her favorite was working with the Young Women (Mutual). She served as Stake and Ward Young Women President for many years. Her most cherished calling was when she served as secretary in the Young Women when her daughter Darlene was President. She also loved to lead the music in any meeting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father in law, sister Beverly and brother Richard, brother and sisters-in law, and son-in law Kim Hoggard. She is survived by her husband and eternal companion of 64 years, her 5 children and their spouses, 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Sego Lily Ward building located at 9824 South Flint Drive, Sandy, Utah. There will be a viewing on Sunday night from 6:00-8:00pm at the church and Monday before the services from 9:30 to 10:30am.
