Beverly June Takos, 85 passed away on July 12, 2017 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on June 5, 1932 to J. Stewart and Clara Vondella Thompson in Salt Lake City. When Beverly was 14 years old she moved to San Antonio, Texas. In 1952 she married Austin (Rick) Rowley. They had 5 children together and later divorced. In 1973 she married George W. Takos. They had 1 child together.
Beverly worked for Civil Service for 25 years. She enjoyed interaction with her fellow workers. She had many hobbies such as ceramics, collecting dolls, making wedding cakes, and family get together's. She was involved with the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and volunteered for many projects. She was kind and loving to everyone she met and loved to laugh.
Beverly is survived by 2 sisters, Pat Eyre and Kathy Gates; 5 children, Michael (Cara) Rowley, Russell (Terry) Rowley, Cheryl (Michael) Groscost, Scott (Betty) Rowley, Ginna (Jeremy) Herridge; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 2350 East 1300 So. Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewing from 10:00- 10:45 a.m. Interment at Hyrum City Cemetery.
