Cooper Myles Nagy

1999 ~ 2018

Cooper was born on December 22, 1999 at St Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had a rough time in the beginning and spent a few days in the NICU. We were able to bring him home just in time for Christmas in a huge stocking on December 25, 1999. It was the best gift we could have ever dreamed of. His big brothers loved him so much and Cooper always wanted to be just like them.

Cooper's family moved to Herriman when he was three years old where he attended Foothills Elementary School, Fort Herriman Middle School and was currently a Senior at Herriman High School. Cooper dreamed of playing hockey like his big brothers and he started ice skating when he was five years old. He had many special coaches over the years that taught and mentored him, including his Dad who spent countless hours with him on the ice, precious moments spent together. The Herriman High School Coaching Staff did not only teach teamwork and hockey skills, but they were an amazing support to Cooper. They are truly a family and he loved each member of the Herriman High School Hockey Club and their families. Cooper had a very special connection with Ryan Nelson, he was not only his hockey coach, but a genuine friend, example and someone he looked up to. Ryan will always have a special place in our hearts.

Cooper was always loving and affectionate, he gave the biggest, best hugs that we will all miss so much. He would do anything for anyone and was so giving clear up until the end. We have found that he did so many selfless things that we knew nothing about. He had the biggest heart and loved people no matter what.

Cooper\s favorite was anything with strawberries and having his back scratched, but the thing he loved most was being with his brothers. It is so comforting to know that they loved each other so much and that they had so many happy memories together. He also enjoyed anything outdoors, snowboarding, hiking, photography, art, music, writing and being with his friends. He always loved the water and, in the summer, would stay in the pool all day.

He will be dearly missed by all that knew him, but we know he will always be with us, comfort us and cheer us on until we see him again.

Cooper is survived by his parents, Abel and Laura, brothers: Cole (Alex Brower) and Mason (Kylie Robinson), grandparents: Paul and Dolores Lewis, Fred and LaRue Brumble (Grandma Rue), special friend: Kylee Bayles, and his chocolate lab: Cash. He was blessed to have many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends that loved him so much and were always there for him. Cooper is preceded in death by his good friend Chandler Voutaz.

A celebration of Cooper's life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary of Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah. Friends and family may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. before the service. Interment will be in Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South).

We love you more than you will ever know Cooper.
