Rick Carter peacefully passed away November 6, 2018. He was born July 10, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona the oldest son of Jerry and Marilyn Broberg Carter.
He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1971. Rick served a LDS mission in the Delaware-Maryland mission from 1972-1974. On June 9, 1975, Rick married Karen Crosby Carter in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an avid hiker and fisherman. His family was the center of his life. He devoted all he had to his daughters, Allyson (Ian) Douglass and Meredith (Ben) Foster, and his five grandchildren; Kasey, Carly, and Emma Foster, and Jocelynn and Logan Douglass.
He is also survived by his wife, Karen, his parents, his brothers, Jeff and Brian and his sister, Jan. He was preceded in death by grandparents and his brother Scott.
The family thanks the Legacy House Assisted Living staff and the Aspire Hospice nurses and caregivers during the last weeks of Rick's life.
A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:45 AM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Larkin Mortuary-Riverton 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, UT 84065. After the viewing friends and family may share memories of Rick before going to the cemetery.
Interment Herriman City Cemetery.
