Julia Hall Dixon

Julia Hall Dixon passed away quietly at her home in Salt lake City, Utah at 3:42 pm on 8 Apr 2014 (her 78th birthday). She is survived by her husband, Neal P. Dixon, and 7 children: Daniel H Dixon (Sue), Bellevue WA; JuNeal Darley (David), Layton UT; James H. Dixon (Karen), Redding CA; Donita Myatt (Jim), Redding CA; Celecta Moss (Ed), Orem UT; Sabrina Jones (Robert), Newcastle WA and Michael P. Dixon (Cecily), Moscow ID; 53 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 7 siblings: Rula Ringel, Buhl ID; Ira Kimball Hall, Idaho Falls ID; Miles O. Hall, Riverside, CA; Lewis M. Hall, Idaho Falls ID; Celecta Gibson, Nampa ID; John Hall, Wendell ID and Sarah Farnworth, Moscow ID.

She was born to Ira Kimball and Alice Ottley Hall on 8 Apr 1936 at Jerome ID. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many capacities in the branches, wards and stakes of Logan UT, Santa Clara CA, Sacramento CA, Redding CA, Bozeman MT, Bellevue WA, and Salt Lake City UT.

Her church and family were the first priorities in her life. She loved to do family history research and was called on 4 Jan 2004 to serve a mission with her husband in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. She continued to serve in that capacity until her diagnosis with pancreatic cancer in June 2013 .

She will be sorely missed by her family, her numerous posterity and by her countless friends.

The kind professional care and support provided by the nurses and staff of Quality Solace Services (hospice care givers) during the last 10 months of her life is greatly appreciated by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, 12 Apr 2014, at the Salt Lake Ensign Stake Center at 135 "A" St., Salt Lake City UT, with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
