John Edward Beck II, beloved father, grandfather, and friend passed away September 22, 2019 in Murray, Utah. John was born to John Edward Beck and Edith Barthelmeus on October 11, 1940 in New York, New York.
John was an avid fisherman and sportsman. His love and appreciation of the outdoors was admired by all who knew him. He dedicated his life to teaching others how to enjoy the outdoors. In John's earlier years, his love for the outdoors and the ocean led him to join the Navy in 1960, where he served in communications aboard the USS Hornet until he was honorarily discharged.
John is survived by his son John Edward Beck III, his daughter Anne Marie Bernal and five wonderful grandchildren Cody, Jacob, Cameron, Corbin and Alexis. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Edith and John Beck and stepmother Murial Beck.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on October 8, 2019 beginning at 5 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Please bring stories of John to share!
