A tribute to Alvin Eugene Webb

Alvin and met in 1958 at an Albertson\s store on North Temple and seventh West. He was sixteen and I was eleven. He always told me I was the one he was going to marry.

In 1961 onMarch 17thwe married and lived in Salt Lake City. During this time we had Mark and Quinn. In 1963 we built a home in Granger Utah. Tracie was born in 1965. In 1970 onMarch 17thwe were sealed as a family for time and eternity.

Alvin worked in the trucking industry for over thirty years retiring from UPS. Alvin loved driving big trucks and took pride in how he could backup trailers. He was a member of Teamsters Local 222.

As we lived our lives our love for each other grew. We were partners in everything except racing as I retired from it earlier than he did. Life brings you ups and downs and he always did things the honest and right way. He taught that to his children and grandchildren.

For some reason Alvin had many health issues. Later in life they stopped him from doing many things he wanted to accomplish. He never gave up and fought to do things up to the moment he passed away. I knew what he was going through but he didn\t want to burden others. He was still able to accomplish many things in severe pain. He lived with pain every day. He tried so hard to led a normal life and serve others, especially his family.

Alvin\s life was based on being honest and doing the right thing. He loved the Gospel. He loved attending the Temple..We were able to attend the Jordan River Temple open house in April taking our little great grandson Kyson.

Scouting was a huge part of his life.He served in many positions over a period of fifty years. Loved camping with the boys. He was the scout master when his two boys Mark and Quinn received their Eagle Scout awards. At the time of his death he was serving in the Cub Scouts.

Alvin was born with engine oil in his veins. He started racing Ko-Karts at age fifteen. His boys raced karts for many years. Now he has grandchildren who race or have raced. That made him so proud. Alvin is a legend in the karting and racing world. He communicated with people all over the United States. He will be missed for all the knowledge he had regarding the old racing world. His last endeavor was to start a mini sprint racing club. His home was truly in the garage. Fitting that he passed away in the garage.

Alvin loved his family with all his heart. Sometimes it was hard for him to express his feelings but as he has grown older it became much easier. He had many tender moments with his children and grand children. The all felt his love for them.He never missed a chance to tell me he loved me. For that I am so grateful.I was a queen in his heart.

One of his goals was to attend Nauvoo temple. Which we did in 2014. He loved the history of the pioneers.

I was blessed to be his wife. We truly grew up together. Our goal was to always be together for us and our children. We were able to travel and camp some over the years as his health permitted. Many wonderful memories were made during these times.

Alvin loved his family and the Gospel with all his heart. I already miss our nightly prayers and goodnight kiss. I know without a doubt that we will be together in the here after. I look forward to being there with him and our eternal family.

I love you forever. Jane
