Noel Dillon Luke

1940 ~ 2017

Noel Dillon Luke, 76, died unexpectedly on September 4, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah of complications following double bypass heart surgery. He was born November 12, 1940 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the fifth child of Ottoson T. Luke and Edna Matilda Dillon.

After graduating from High School, he attended BYU, Provo for a short time prior to serving a mission in the British Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon his return and completing his education he married Beverly Jeanne Littler and they had 4 children. His career was focused as a Financial Analyst. He worked for Getty Oil which merged with Texaco for the majority of his career. Getty Oil took him from Los Angeles, to Bakersfield, to Houston, Texas where he retired after 24 years. He had a passion for many things among them family history research, music, the gospel, and his family.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, and sister Rosalind Crosby. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, siblings Steve, Arlo, Roice, and Merilyn Urry. His children, Tiffany Kristin (Justin) Luke-Jones, and grandchildren Parker, Max, and Cambria; Quinn (Lisa) Luke and grandson Hudson Aurelius; Justin Luke, Belinda (Adam) Lenhard and grandchildren Kennedy, Noah, Elliot, and Bentley.

A viewing will be held Friday Sept. 8, 2017, from 6-8 pm and Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 from 9-9:45 am prior to the service at Larkin Mortuary. The funeral service will be on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at 10 am in the chapel at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111
