Jerome Anderson

1974 ~ 2016

Our loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Jerome Anderson, age 42 of Bluffdale, Utah returned home to our Heavenly Father unexpectedly. Jerome was born on July 14, 1974 to Edward ‘Jerome' Rucker and Elaine Anderson Herrenschmidt in Chicago Heights, IL. He attended Fresno City College and later transferred to the University of Utah, ending his collegiate days as a member of the "Utes" football team.

Although this is such a difficult time for his family and friends, it is important to remember what an amazing man he was. Jerome had an infectious smile with a strong energy that would light up a room as soon as he walked in. He had a way of making those around him feel good about themselves, no matter what their circumstances were. Everyone was magnetized by and loved Jerome's sense of humor. Jerome's heart was so loving and caring, and he regularly gave the shirt off his back for those he loved. Jerome was the most patient, motivated, considerate, friendly person. He loved his family more than life itself.

Although Jerome's time on earth was short, he accomplished so much. We all feel blessed to have been a part of his life. We will never forget Jerome, he has left a mark on all our hearts and will continue to do so as a guardian angel.

Jerome is survived by his loving wife Teresa and his five children Jerome "JJ", Travell, Eva, Emery, and Italy. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his mother Elaine (Mark), father Edward (Geneva), mother and father in law Mary and Sam Bozo. His sisters Temera (John) and LaToy (Shon), brothers Trenell, James, Edward (Michelle) and Jonathan (Sharika) along with a host of aunts, uncles and other family members and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bluffdale 11th Ward, 14400 South Redwood Road in Bluffdale, Utah.
