Wesley Alexis Sayler

1944 ~ 2014

Our much loved husband, father and grandfather passed away Nov. 26, 2014 at the age of 70.

Wesley was born in Madera, California Feb. 4th 1944 to Donald and Violet Sayler. He married Sonja Kay Wayman on Aug. 30th 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Wes worked for Hercules as a safety engineer and then retired from the U of U hospital as a surgical nurse (RN). He was a Man of many skills and loved to laugh and joke. He loved being with his family and enjoyed pursuing many different hobbies of which there are too many to list, but most importantly he loved Eureka, Nevada and the family ranch. He was a devout member of faith serving the lord in the Munich, Germany mission and later being transferred to the Wales, England mission. Wesley is survived by his wife Sonja; his children Sharalee (Charlie), Becky (Steve), John (Lindsey), Jakob (Samantha) and Christoffel (Jaclyn).

He loved all of his family as well as the 10 grandchildren and cherished every moment of the time they had together. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in-law Elden and Merna Wayman and grandson Andrew Duke.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at 11 am at the Bernina ward, 3045 W. Bernina Dr. (5820 S.) Taylorsville. A viewing will be on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the ward and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the time of services or at America First credit union in the name of Wesley A. Sayler Memorial Account to help with medical expenses.
