Nadine Anderson

1935 ~ 2017

Our greatly loved wife, mother, and grandmother Nadine Anderson (82) left this life peacefully on Saturday, October 21st from age related causes. Her gracious goodness touched everyone she met. She courageously faced all of life's experiences with a tender loving heart.

Nadine (Atkinson) was born on July 22, 1935 in Kamas, Utah. As a child she learned the importance of work as she gathered eggs, shined apples, milked cows, and stomped hay. She moved often and had wonderful friends wherever she lived, eventually she moved to Malad, Idaho where she graduated high school in 1953.

She met her husband, Blaine Anderson at BYU, they fell in love on the dance floor, and were married in the Logan Temple on August 1, 1955. 62 memorable years were filled with tremendous joy in her 4 children, love of family gatherings, church service, a close group of forever friends, time with grandchildren, and enjoying puzzles.

Nadine and Blaine served at the LDS Family History Center from 1999 to 2003 first as missionaries then as counselors in the mission presidency. They also served in China, teaching English, where she was beloved by her students.

Nadine's strength, hard work, beautiful blue eyes, and warm smile will be cherished.

Nadine is survived by her husband Blaine; children Todd Anderson, Shawn (Stephanie) Anderson, Tonya (Lee) Young and Nicole Anderson; sister Evelyn; and brother Dale. Along with her grandchildren Chris, Josh, Tyler, Sydney, Cameron, Chase, Ryan, Alec, and Ashley and six great-grandchildren with two more soon to arrive.

She is preceded in death by her sister Joyce, and her grandson Brandon.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 28th at 11:00 AM in the Draper 1st Ward, 600 East 12300 South, Draper. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service. Interment follows at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.
