Janice Woodbury Leavitt, 62, passed away June 9, 2014. Janice was born June 6, 1952, to Alma and Luen Atkin Woodbury in Murray Utah, and grew up in Sandy. She was a 1970 graduate of Jordan High School where she was a Charlonian and Sterling Scholar in Art. She graduated from Dixie College in 1972.
Janice was a talented artist who loved animals, and the outdoors. She had an infectious laugh and a love for people. She married Scott Leavitt in 1993.
Janice was preceded in death by her father and her husband. She is survived by her daughter Brittney, her mother and step-father, Luen and Gordon Flammer, brother, Douglas (Lark) Woodbury; and sisters Dawn (Butch) Stone; Carla (Jerry) Burningham; and Elaine (John) Bishop, numerous nieces and nephews, and three dog-children.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy . A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the mortuary prior to the service.
