Robert Clair Pearson

1941 ~ 2017

Robert Clair Pearson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2017. He spent his last day on this earth laughing and surrounded by the people he loved. Clair was born on February 6, 1941 in Lewiston, Utah to Gladys and Lars Pearson. Clair was married to Carol Ott in 1964 and they had two beautiful girls together that Clair loved with all his heart. Clair later married Mary Barnes and gained 3 step-sons that he loved as much as if they were his own. Clair was an excellent draftsman, artist and wood-worker. He loved to play Aggravation, Yahtzee and Solitaire. He was a perfectionist, and there wasn't anything that he couldn't fix. In addition to hunting and fishing, Clair was an avid bowler. At one time, he bowled on 7 leagues and practiced on Sunday. He had two 298 games. Clair participated and placed in over 30 national bowling tournaments. Clair and Mary combined Clair's love of bowling and Mary's love of genealogy to travel to 49 states, only missing Alaska. Clair loved his family, and was the kind of father who called you just to say hi. If you ever asked him to help with anything, the answer was always yes.

Clair loved to laugh and loved to make his grandkids laugh. We will miss his wry sense of humor and his silly pranks. Each gift he gave seemed like it was wrapped with its own roll of tape.

Clair was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, stepson Paul, brother Dean, sisters Betty, Joan, and Leone. Survived by his daughters and stepsons Mike Hansen, Phil Hansen (Fabiana), Cherie Pearson and Michelle Baker (Neal), grandchildren Cassie Yale, Anthony Pearson, Chris Baker, Kylee Eldredge, Lizzy Baker, Caetano Hansen, two great-grandchildren Freyja and Marselyne, brother Reed Pearson (Sandra) and sisters Lorene Pitkin and Ruby Riggs.
