Maurine Gray Benson, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2nd of natural causes incident to old age in Lehi, Utah. She was born August 11, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Howard Moroni Gray Sr. and Lily M. Schmidlin Gray.
Maurine graduated from East High School in 1944. As a teen she was an avid roller skating champion in ladies freestyle and dance with her partner Glen Llewellyn.
Maurine had a sweet nature and was the loving wife of Robert Wayne Benson. Robert and Maurine were married November 28, 1947. They loved the outdoors, fishing and gardening together.
She worked many years for the Bureau of Land Management. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Howard M Gray Jr (Claudine), Richard and Joseph.
She is survived by her sister Catherine (R. Lynn) Jones, brother-in-law Fred Benson and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery (2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City) on Thursday September 8 at 11 A.M.
