Thella Marice Elcock Fullmer

1926 ~ 2018

Thella Marice Elcock "Teddy" Fullmer passed away September 27, 2018 in her home of 60 years, surrounded by her loving family. Teddy was born July 22, 1926 in Park City, Utah to Eli and Muriel Elcock. As a young child, Teddy moved with her family to Salt Lake City where she attended elementary school and junior high, and graduated from East High School.

It was at East High where Teddy met her sweetheart Lynn. Following World War II, she and Lynn were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 15, 1947. Together they designed and built their family home, where they raised four sons, and hosted many Sunday dinners and family events.

A lifelong learner, Teddy returned to school in her 50's, and graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Art History.Teddy was proud of her pioneer ancestry and loved to discuss it with anyone who would listen. A lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Teddy found great satisfaction serving with children, teens, and adults over many years. Her passions included art, travel, cats, and teddy bears ‚ in no particular order.

Teddy is survived by sons Shaun (Mary), Mark (Julie), Brian (B.J.) and Dan (Suzanne) Fullmer, 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and her half-brother Robert Elcock. In addition to her husband Lynn, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Betty Coltrin.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 5 at the LDS meetinghouse located at 1565 South Foothill Drive. Visitations will be held Thursday, October 4 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn.Special thanks to the aides from Home Care Assistance who lovingly cared for our mom so she could remain at home in her later years.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to LDS Church Humanitarian Aid or the Salvation Army.
