She was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Skyline High School. She obtained associate degrees in Culinary Arts, Graphic Art and Cabinet Making. She was currently working in the hotel industry at Home 2 Suites as a front desk host and night manager.

As a cousin, Monique loved spending Christmas together, playing games together on New Year\s Eve and taking annual vacation trips to Lake Tahoe. She grew up with her cousins and fondly spoke of her great childhood.

As a daughter, Monique loved to ride high on her father\s shoulders as a young child and she shared a special bond with her mother throughout her life. Monique and her mother loved to attend the opera and symphony together and dress up for the occasion. They enjoyed traveling together, laughing together and being there for each other through life\s challenges. They loved their trips together to Las Vegas and time spent together on a cruise. They regularly visited Lagoon and Gardner Village. Monique and her mother cherished their German culture and enjoyed its music, movies, food and traditions.

As an aunt, Monique enjoyed passing down her traditions, her German culture and her love for good times and laughter. She loved outings to Lagoon and special trips with her nieces. She enjoyed spending holidays together and playing board games with her family. In her words, \"To spend time with my nieces, those were the dearest times of my life.\"

Monique was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was endowed in the temple. The temple was an important part of Monique\s life. She learned woodworking skills and worked at Crossroads Mill when the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and Draper Temple were being built. She worked on the altars and the temple doors. One of her proudest achievements was working on the temples. In her words, \"I filled every nail hole in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple from the baptismal font on the lower floor to the Celestial Room on the top floor. It took two weeks on my hands and knees. MOTHER AND DAUGHTER

Mother and Daughter

We are so close,

It seems at times

Our two hearts beat as one.

No other mother daughter pair

Has ever had such fun!

We fill each other\s hearts with joy

For all that comes our way.

Devoted love, forever strong;

Much more than words can say.
