Bonnie Jean Cottrell Walker

1941 ~ 2016

Bonnie Jean Walker, age 75, of Riverton, passed away on December 15, 2016 at her home. Bonnie died peacefully while surrounded by the loving care of her children. Bonnie died from issues related to Kidney failure.

She was born on November 30, 1941 in Salt Lake City to James Learned and Julia Erva Cottrell. She was sealed to her husband Bernard Sanford Walker Jr. on January 30, 1964 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Bonnie loved horses, dogs and each one of her 10 children. She dedicated her life, energy and thoughts to her family. She is the glue that sealed them together over decades of stormy seas. Her unconditional love, quickness to forgive, patience, concern for others above her own concerns, and faithfulness to Jesus Christ were exemplary. Bonnie was a living example of love, kindness, forgiveness and faith. Even at death, she was only concerned about others. No matter the personal pain, discomfort or hardship, Bonnie was always firm in her commitment to making good choices that she believed would benefit others. The world has lost a bright shining light. The perfect wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend will be missed by all those she left behind. Until we meet again….
