Robert Loran Dansie passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 5, 2015 in Riverton, Utah. Robert was born November 29, 1956 to Loran and Carolyn Dansie in Murray, Utah. Robert met the love of his life, Charlene Bagley at Snow College and they were sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on September 5, 1980.
Robert was a master carpenter working for several companies through the years honing and perfecting his craft. He was passionate about creating anything with his hands. He was a faithful member of the LDS church, serving a mission in the Atlanta, Georgia area. He had a great love for the outdoors, spending time fishing, backpacking and camping. His favorite travel location was the Oregon Coast making the trip several times with his family. Robert had a large heart, serving in any capacity, whether as the President of the Union Lion's Club, Scouting or helping the less fortunate.
Robert loved his family dearly, spending as much time with his wife, children, and grandchildren as he could. He had a deep love for those he knew creating lasting friendships. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverton Hospital for the tender and loving care they provided.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene; children, Eric (Ashley), Kyle (Aimee), Danielle (Ben) Gubler, Ben and Keara; 5 grandchildren; mother, Carolyn Dansie; 4 brothers and numerous extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his father, Loran Dansie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Founder's Park Stake Center, 11685 South Kestrel Rise Road South Jordan, Utah. A visitation will be held Wednesday, at Larkin Mortuary Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South Riverton, Utah from 6-8 PM and again on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Stake Center.
