Kathleen Penrose Gibson

1945 ~ 2017

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, was reunited with the love of her life, Chet, on August 7, 2017, surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones, at age 72.

She is proceeded in death by her mother Elvera, father Wayne, 4 brothers; and many other loved ones.

Kathy was born in Malad, ID to Wayne Coffin Penrose and Elvera Weber Penrose. She married Chet Miles Gibson on July 13, 1965 in Monterey CA while he was serving in the U.S. Army. Their marriage was sealed at the Logan LDS Temple in 1967. Kathy is a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.

Kathy is survived by her 6 proud children; Darren (Diane), Chad (Christen), Shawn (Jennifer), Kamian Woolley (Todd), Janette Atwood (Ammon), Spencer (Ashley), and 2 adopted sons Al To\a (Jennifer), Darrell Eaton (Kim). Kathy has 27 wonderful grandchildren that adore her beyond measure.

Kathy grew up on the family farm in Downey ID with her 4 sisters and 5 brothers. She has also lived in Germany, while Chet was stationed there, as well as Missoula MT, West Valley City UT, Cameron Park CA, Arlington Heights IL and West Jordan UT.

Kathy was primarily a loving, caring mother and homemaker.

She was an exceptional licensed beautician, and was always happy to do anyone and everyone's hair. Kathy also helped to support her family in many capacities, including working at ZCMI, medical offices, dental offices, and as a JetBlue Agent. Kathy really enjoyed all of the people she worked with and came in contact with throughout the years.

She made everyone feel special, whenever she greeted you, you were always the "Best Looking" "Smartest" "Most Talented" "Most Loved". Her arms and her home were always open to all. You would always leave with a "Sure Do Love Ya" or a "YOU ARE LOVED", and everyone individually, always felt of her unconditional love.

Kathy loved making goodies, oil painting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, camping, watching movies, especially the old time classics, talking with and going to visit her sisters, riding with Dad on the motorcycle, however, she loved nothing more than being with her children, grandchildren and family.

Mom's talents, stories, laughter, love and so much more will be missed by all! We could travel the whole earth and not find a better mom. Mom, YOU ARE LOVED!!!
