Barbara Stoddard Madsen passed away Friday, March the 13th, 2020, due to a hiking accident.
Barbara was born in Fresno, California, January 7, 1941. Her teenage years were spent in Ashland, Oregon. To earn money for college, she was a legal secretary at the age of 16. She was expert in shorthand, which she used right up to her last day.
Barbara made it to BYU. While there, she met what turned out to be her amazing partner and eternal companion. From there, Barbara's journey through life was one amazing experience. She was intelligent, business smart, creative, loving, traditional yet bold. She loved unconditionally.
She excelled in everything she tackled, especially real estate. And yet she still had time to mother her four children and thirteen grandchildren, who were most important to her. They will all miss her Thanksgiving turkey and Danish Christmas dinner.
She loved her church life. She was deep, she was serving, she was loving.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Even S. Madsen; her children Bennet (JoEllen), Geeta (Mike Buckley), Sonja (Chad Downey), Jared (Lisa); and 13 grandchildren.
