Lewis Christian Shaw, age 70, died January 3, 2016 from Pneumonia after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Lew was born September 25, 1945 in Renton, Washington, to Lewis Asher and Minna Martha Kruse Shaw, the oldest of four boys. After graduating from Renton High School, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, continuing his service in both the Army and Navy Reserves for a total of 30 years. He graduated from the University of Utah, and taught Middle School History and Geography in the Jordan School District for 30 years. He joined the LDS faith shortly after meeting his eternal companion, Mary Ann Linnell Shaw. He served faithfully in many church callings, and in the community. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, daughter Becky (Ash), son Matthew (Jamie), daughter Melanie (Mike), brothers Dan (Dianne), Tom (Joni), and twelve grandkids: Elexis (Toby), Nicholle, Nathan, Elyce, Mackensie, Abby, Emily, Andrew, Jacob, Matthew, Sydnie, Emma.
