Gene Sieverts Brady

1946 ~ 2016

Gene Sieverts Brady at the age of 70 years passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on December 19, 2016. He and his wife, Georgia, recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.

Gene was born in Salt Lake City, UT on October 17, 1946. He graduated from Hillcrest HS and attended the University of Utah. He was an entrepreneur and a school bus driver. He was an active member of the LDS Church, served a mission in Holland, had many church callings and enjoyed serving in both the Jordan River and Draper Temples for over a decade.

One of Gene's passions was sports, especially baseball. His softball team won church wide competitions right before his mission. He owned his own softball fields in the 80's. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching and watching his grandkids play sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Audrey Sieverts Brady

Survivors include his wife; Georgia Brady, his children; Jody, Allen (Deandrea) Brady, Randall (Stephanie) Brady, and Rob (Marie) Brady and twenty grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00am at LDS Church House, 1433 E Old Mission Rd, Sandy.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30am at the church prior to the service.
