Robert Leo Pezely

1949 ~ 2015

I, Robert Leo Pezely, was born in the Great Salt Lake City on June 8, 1949, to my parents of Martha Fuller Pezely and Nicholas Robert Pezely. I attended Franklin Elementary School, Bishop Class at St. Anne's School, Judge Memorial High School, five years at the University of Utah learning about management and business administration. I oftentimes was too busy and too insensitive, immature, and busy to appreciate and take advantage of the friendship being offered in my life. As I grew older, I realized the influence that my friends had on my life.

In my work history, I held several positions in various government programs. I first served eleven years at the Classic Pool Hall as Manager. I enjoyed working in the administration at Salt Lake County, which I started in 1972 and retired from in 1998. I also served as a manager for UPEA as President, Vice President, and other administrative positions. I was a special deputy for the County for ten years, served in community action for three years, and volunteered for Salt Lake County mental health for ten years. I also tutored high school students in my home for a couple of years.

I would like to say a special thank you to Shirley Simmons, for being there for me, especially after the passing of my mother. I was also preceded in death by my father and brother, Jim Pezely. I am survived by many, Sue, Lori, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. I worked with the finest friends a man could ask for, and their friendship lasted until the very end, namely Charlene, Art and Alice, Fernando and Bea, Lydia and Jesse, Steve and Barry, Chad, Eugene and Layne, IHC dialysis Center and all my old friends from the old neighborhood. I would like to give special thanks to Alice and Lydia, who saw me through the end of my suffering. In spite of my blessings, I have done some terrible wrongs in my life, I ask for those who I offended to truly forgive me, and for those who offended me, I truly forgive you.
