John (Ian) Jeremiah Wilkinson, 70, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his home in Sandy.
He was born to Jeremiah and Agnes Wilkinson on September 10, 1943 in Airdrie, Scotland. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent the majority of his life living in Great Falls, Montana with his family, and had just recently returned to Utah.
He is survived by his wife of 10 months, Beverly; his son Mark (Mark); daughters Amy (Stuart); Emily (Enoch); Jill; Kimberly (Nathan); Megan; Jessica (Matthew); and 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, his six siblings, and his first wife, Janet Flinders.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Mount Jordan Stake Center, 9331 S 300 E, Sandy, UT. There will be a viewing before the funeral from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Roy Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Larkin Sunset Gardens.
