Surrounded by his loving wife of 69 years, family, and friends Robert Earl Dustman passed away October 16 after 93 wonderful years of life. Bob was born May 14, 1925 in Caldwell Idaho. He served in the Navy during WWII and married the love of his life in 1949. Bob obtained a BS degree from the college of Idaho and MS and PhD degrees in Psychology from the University of Utah. He worked for the Forest Service, taught grade school, and was an internationally known VA Research Career Scientist in Neuropsychology at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City Utah. Bob was an avid hiker and during his later years climbed to the top of Mount Wire over one thousand times. Those who knew him loved him for his friendship, humor, wit, and love of the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orman and Lois and his brothers Jim and Pete. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his wife Joyce, sons Todd (Tina) and Ted (Connie), and grandchildren Olivia (David), Darby, Cayla, Devin and sister Tibby Jerome. His life\s spirit will live on in all who knew him. Special thanks to the entire staff of the William E Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home for their care and friendship.
