"Oh, that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart." An angel has left our presence, blessing us with 90 years of pure love. Thersa Ferrell Lovendale passed away on September 5th, 2014. Born September 16th, 1923 to James Scobey Ferrell and Annie (Lynn) Madsen. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister; loved by many, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her 3 sisters (Orpah, Norla, and Desna), and half-brothers. Survived by her 3 children; Lynn (Bonnie), Clayton, and Lisa (Neil), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Thersa was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served her mission in Denmark in 1953. It left an indelible impression on her heart. Her devotion on her mission was exceeded only by her exemplary service as our mother, holding our family together through many trials. Laughter and love was a major part of our home.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 10th , 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edison Ward Building, 1401 W. 700 South, SLC. Viewings will be Tuesday evening (9/9/2014) from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 ‚ 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at Riverton city cemetery.
