Earl D Remington Jr.

1943 ~ 2014

Earl D Remington Jr., died peacefully after a short illness in Sun City, AZ on October 30, 2014. Earl was born March 30, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Earl D Remington Sr. and Lena Augustina Lyngburg.

His formal education was in the Catholic School System and he graduated from Judge Memorial High School. Married Nancy Pettey on October 1, 1976, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Earl graduated from San Jose State with a Degree in Aeronautical Electrical Engineering and Weber State College in Logistics and Provisioning Engineering. He worked on the Peacekeeper Missile from birth to bed, the Space Station and the Military Drones before his retirement in 2011. He loved the Gospel and working in the Temple. He was an avid sports fan and especially liked the SF 49ers and Nascar races. Earl was a man of service and grace who was willing to drop everything when others were in need. Always willing to go without in order to serve others with greater needs than his own. He was also generous of heart and spirit. He will be greatly missed until we meet again.

Survived by his wife Nancy, children Michelle Baird (Matthew), Michael Remington, Jeffrey Remington (Stephanie). Grandchildren Jordan, Payton, Lily, Cole and Jack, Mother-in-law Marion Pettey and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved him, brother Dennis Remington and sister Lynn Anderson. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Steven and John and father in-law and dear friend James R. Pettey.

Services will be held Monday November 10, 2014 at 11:30 a.m., at Mountain Point 1st Ward, 420 E Stokes Avenue (13540 S.), Draper, Utah. Friends may call prior to the services 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
