Alvin Charles Patterson

1932 ~ 2016

Together Forever

Our beloved father, grandpa and great grandpa Alvin Charles Patterson joined his eternal companion JoEtta Rose Weeks Patterson on June 12, 2016 at the age of 84.

He was born a twin to Charles Elmer Patterson and Leoni Leoti Wilding on May 19, 1932 in Salt Lake City. His twin sister (Elva) and him were the youngest of all the children. Alvin and JoEtta were married on June 25, 1951 and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 19, 1957.

Alvin loved animals including his horse Pride. He had a myriad of hobbies including: gardening (he was an award winning gardener), body building, wood craft and fixing cars. Alvin served a mission at the Utah State Prison and the Jordan River Temple with his wife. He also fulfilled many other church positions. He was a skilled truck driver and was a proud supporter of the Teamsters Union. Alvin traveled all over the world with his wife.

Alvin is survived by his children; DeLynn (Susan Kay) Patterson, Bonnie (Doug) Fullmer, Susan (Mike) Thompson and Judy Patterson, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.). A viewing will be held on Monday from 12:00 ‚ 1:45 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
