My darling Steve,65, lost his courageous battle with cancer on June 26, 2014. I held him in my arms as he left this world and began the new journey with his higher power.
Steve was a gentle man with a great sense of humor. He was kind and loving, quiet and reserved, loyal to his family and friends. He loved to spend time working in the yard or sitting quietly reading a book. Steve bravely handled life's challenges. He was an Army veteran and served his country in Vietnam.
He leaves behind his loving soul mate of 27 years, Geni, children Sunny, Jamie, Brian, Mike and Matt, grandchildren Tiffani and Sean, sister Patty (Andy), brother Bob, nephews Michael and Alex, the Henderson Family who loved him as their son, brother, and uncle and numerous devoted friends. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Claire and stepmother Charmain, sister, Cindy, and aunt, Betty.
My heartfelt gratitude to our wonderful circle of friends and family that wrapped their arms around us with love and support. Thank you to my real estate family, VA Medical Center and Access Hospice for their generosity, care and comfort.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 11:00AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy. Friends may visit with the family at 10:00AM prior to the service.
