Norma Wilkinson Christiansen

1923 ~ 2013

Norma Wilkinson Christiansen, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 28, 2013 at her home in Mesquite, NV.

Norma was born March 25, 1923 in Salina, Utah. After graduating high school she moved to Salt Lake City where she studied type and stenography. She married the love of her life, Farold "Chris" Christiansen, Feb. 16, 1947 and they had one daughter, Sherry. She worked for C.W. Reese Insurance Company until she retired. Norma moved to Beaver Dam, AZ in 1993 after her love passed on and then to Mesquite in 1994.

She enjoyed ceramics, making artificial flower arrangements, playing bingo, working in her yard, tea parties and hide and seek with her great granddaughter.

Norma was a hard worker, a wonderful wife, sister, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sherry King, granddaughter, Kasey King, great-granddaughter, Tanner Lee King, caregiver, Samantha Mantor, as well as many relatives and her friends in Mesquite and Beaver Dam.

Those who awaited her in the afterlife are her husband Farold "Chris," sister Myrth Nygaard, brother Steven Wilkinson, granddaughter Brandi K. Knowley and parents Walt and Louise Wilkinson. They have been reunited at last.

Norma will be buried next to her love at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah, on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. At her request there will be no viewing and a "simple, very short" graveside service. She said "NO FLOWERS, they're expensive, don't last long and they give me hay fever." We will honor her wishes, so please, in lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may make a donation to the charity of your choice.
