Donald Wallace Thorup passed away on May 6, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born in Salt Lake City on July 12, 1926 to Alvin and Leona. He married Jeanne' Baird in the SLC Temple on Sept. 15, 1947.
A Pharmacist by profession, Wally was a WWII Veteran (Serving on a Navy Minesweeper). He and Jeanne' served 3 full time missions in Tennessee, Nauvoo and New Zealand; 7 church service missions and he was a temple worker.
Wally is survived by his loving wife Jeanne'; 3 children: Ann Manning, Reid (Eve), John (Leslie); 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12th at 11am in the Fairoaks Ward: 600 E. 8400 S, Sandy, UT. Viewings will be held on Thursday, May 11th from 6-8pm and Friday from 9:30 -10:30am at the same address. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the LDS Humanitarian Services.
