Penny Kay Price

1947 ~ 2017

Penny Larsen Price, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, age 69 left us peacefully but far too soon on May 21, 2017. Her battle with cancer was fought with poise and dignity. She managed to keep and promote a positive and grateful attitude throughout this ordeal and in fact lifted the spirits of many who were saddened by this turning event in her life. She touched so many lives for the better.

Born August 29, 1947 in Salt Lake City, oldest of five children to Kenneth Odell Larsen and Letty Mildred Hampton. Married for time and all eternity to Louis Earl Price on May 24, 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple. "Lou gave me exactly the children I wanted although I didn't know that until I met them on the day each were born. My wonderful children, in turn, married wonderful spouses for us to love and add to our family and they provided us with 14 grandchildren who make every day a special reason to get up, love and enjoy. I have had far more than my share of special friends and neighbors who, I hope, I have helped. I hope I gave as much as I took from this grand experience called ‘life.' "I will miss being with each of you."

Survived by her loving husband Lou and their five children -Trudy (Dan) Fegel; Troy (Brenda) Price; Jared (Carmen) Price; Scott Price and Steven (Chanell) Price. Grandchildren: Zack, Jessica, DJ, Kaylee; Kaitlyn, Kevin, Ethan; Kierra, Preston, Michael; Weslynn; Adalynn, Jennifer and Eric. Her favorite sister, Sherry (Jeff) Balis and two brothers: Dell (Betty) and Brian (Annabelle) Larsen and sister-in-law: Diana Larsen. Preceded in death by parents and brother Randy.

Was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings. Family was always her first priority and will always have a special place in her heart.

Penny shared her talent of making thousands of crocheted angels for family, friends, school teachers, Christmas gifts, those that helped her with dinner and service.

On behalf of Penny our family would like to thank the wonderful staff at CNS Hospice and her loving nurses especially, JJ and Michelle.
