Our mother was an honest, kind, and very stubborn country girl, who absolutely loved to travel.
Whenever we kids, or dad, or some situation was driving mom crazy, dad would always simply ask, "Short trip?"
Now that spunky little country girl, our beloved mother, has gone off on her greatest adventure of all. She's no doubt found our father and is dragging him off to see some exotic new place.
Bon voyage, mom. Make sure dad packs his good socks.
