Craig "Joe" Carpenter died unexpectedly on November 24, 2016. He was getting dressed up to have a wonderful Thanksgiving with his family. His wife Helen found him unresponsive at home. Our hope is he died quickly from a heart attack with minimal suffering.
Craig was born on June 8 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clare and Marie Carpenter. He was the third of five children. He graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah. When he was asked to dissect a frog, his decision was made "No More College for Me!" He went on to become a successful entrepreneur who could negotiate the best deal around. If Craig gave you his word on something, you knew it would happen.
Craig is survived; by his wife Helen, children Judi Carpenter and Stephen Carpenter, grandchildren Kylie Shaw and Justin Shaw and brother John Carpenter. Along with numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. Friends may visit from 9:00 am to 10:30 am prior to funeral.
