Marjorie Ellen Fratto

Marjorie Ellen (Hunt) Fratto, 83, of Sandy, Utah, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on October 29, 2015. She is survived by husband, Tony Fratto, son, Claude (Cassie) Fratto (Las Vegas), 5 grandchildren:, Tim (Tracy) Fratto, Payson, Ut., Tara (Javier) Aleman, Alan (Sara) Fratto, Andy (Jocelyn) Guiwan-Fratto, and Toni Fratto, all of Las Vegas, NV; 12 great grandchildren: Josh, Derek, Wayde, Ryland, Kaylee Fratto; Dante', CJ, Gabriel, Donovan, Aliana Aleman; Kenton, Anthony Fratto; Preceded in death by daughter Ellen M. Bendixsen.

Marge was born January 15, 1932 to Claude and Rebecca Hunt, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers (Calvin Hunt, Gene Hunt, Joseph Smalling, and William Mobley) and 2 sisters (Odessa Lucas and Loretta Banks). She dearly loved her brothers and sisters.

At an early age, "Margie" and brother Gene formed a singing duo named the "Mezona Kids" (Mesa Arizona). Mom played guitar and sang, and yodeled, and brother Gene sang and played Mandolin and banjo. They wrote and recorded several songs, including "I sometimes Wonder", "L'il Pardner", and "Everlasting Love". They also played opening concert acts for Hank Williams Sr., Gene Autry, and Jerry Colonna.

Mom was bedazzled by her man in uniform, Tony, and they were married on November 29th, 1952. They bought a small home in Draper, Utah, and they raised 2 children there: Claude and Ellen. Ellen passed away at age 21 of cancer. Mom and dad also enjoyed camping and fishing, as long as dad would put the worm on the hook.

Mom\s later years were spent with dad visiting relatives including nieces and nephews, and grandkids when they could. They both preferred being at home, so the visits were usually at their home. And as is customary in an Italian home, there was always some type of food served. Mom also spent lots and lots of time crocheting.

Mom fell down a flight of stairs several years ago and never did recover from that. She broke bones in her lower back, causing great pain, and it limited her mobility.

We are so thankful to Janni and her crew from Amada Care, who have been helping mom and dad, and continue to help with dad. Also a big thanks to the Larkin Sunset Gardens people who made this whole process easier.

We will miss you greatly Marge, Margie and mom. But we are at peace knowing that you are no longer in pain. We know You are enjoying the reunion with both grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, and your daughter, Ellen.

We love you, and we look forward to the day we can be together again.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd., Sandy. Visitations will be on Friday, November 6 from 6-8:00 p.m. and also Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
