Linda Thomas, age 74, passed away June 21, 2017 peacefully while in hospice care. The middle of three children of Herbert Reed and Edna Tufts Thomas, she was born April 8, 1943, in Malad, Idaho. Linda graduated from Marsh Valley High School in Arimo, Idaho after which she attended Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. Linda then spent over 30 years educating 4th and 5th grade children as a teacher in the Salt Lake Valley. Linda could be found most Saturday afternoons at the theater enjoying a movie with her friends or family. Linda shared her love of movies with each and every one of her nieces and nephews. Linda enjoyed bowling and did so for many years with the teachers\ league. Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard and nephews Jason and Jonathan. Linda is survived by her brother Alan (Lucilla); sister in law Patricia (Richard); nephews, Jeff (LeAnn) and Daniel; Melanie Thomas (Jason); nieces, Michelle Morgan (Bret), Tamra Ingersoll and Rebecca Holub (Lucas); and several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Final interment will be in Downey, Idaho on Monday, June 26th at 1:00 p.m. Linda requested contributions be made to Primary Children\s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
