Barbara Rosalie Patterson Green, age 83 passed away on August 15, 2015 in Murray, UT. Barbara was born on August 25, 1931 in Clinton, UT to Andrew H and Erma Abigail Simpson Patterson. She married Elden L. Green on July 3, 1950 in Reno, NV.
Barbara, Mommy, "Ma", was the definition of beautiful, both inside and out! Her soul was gentle and kind, her heart was filled with love and her spirit was strong and feisty enough to guide her through her many trials in life. She was a phenomenalseamstressand amazingly resourceful. She used these skills in creating abeautiful life for family. Her life literally revolved around her undying love for her children and grandchildren. This kind of love was selfless beyond measure.
Barbara would give anything she had to make sure her family had anything they needed or wanted. Their happiness was her happiness and their pain was her pain. She worried for each and every one daily. She loved living in peace and only wanted for her family to be healthy and happy, and to treat each other with unconditional love and kindness. She left this life the way she lived it, taking care of her family. She slept peacefully while giving those who needed to say goodbye the time to do so. We stayed by her side and watched as she left this world, quietly, with beauty and grace.
Barbara is survived by her 5 children: Toni (Ray), Gregory G. (Karie), Gail (Howard), Gary and Lisa; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and 1 brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Harrison Gregory; her parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Graveside services for Barbara will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Drive (10600 South), Sandy, UT, where a private family gathering will be held prior.
