West Jordan, UT- Dalin Rosario Vasquez, 73, passed into the next world on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Copper Ridge Care Center.
Daughter of Serafin Rosario and Carmen Lydia Fuentes. She is survived by her daughters; Iyana Olcott and her husband Andrew Dorton, Darlin Artiles; grandchildren: Odeion Olcott, Spencer Artiles, Andy Dorton and three siblings on the east coast of the U.S.
Dalin was a dedicated daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a hard-working mother most of her life and fostered independence, strength and compassion in her children. She was born in Luquillo, Puerto Rico and moved to New York as a child. In 1982, she moved to Utah with a company she contributed her hard work to for 27 years.
As we all are-Dalin was imperfect, but her smile was a welcome addition to every community she was a part of. Her easygoing and non-judgmental ear was always willing and available. She would give her last dollar to her neighbor; offer every piece of herself to anyone who had a need. She loved house-plants, animals, cooking and movies. She was proud, fierce, gentle and honest. She has been and will be sorely missed.
A small Homecoming will be held to honor Dalin from 12pm to 2pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah. Dalin was a supporter of equality!
