Duke passed away on October 28, 2015 with his family by his side at the age of 69. Duke was born on July 24, 1946 in Salt Lake City to Earl and Gloria Wirthlin. Duke graduated from South High School and worked over 30 years for SYSCO until his retirement in 2011. In 1993 he married June Jensen his "Swatto". Duke loved watching the Utes, "Go Utes!!"
He is survived by his wife June, his sons Randy Butler (Beverlee) and Ron Butler (Heidi), and cherished grandpa of Gareth, Beckham and Samaya.
Friends and family are invited to attend a short service followed by a graveside service on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) in Sandy. A visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 pm and on Monday from 10-11 am prior to the services at the mortuary.
