Judith Alicia Adams

1958 ~ 2020

Judith was a remarkable woman of many gifts. Chief among those gifts was demonstrating her love in tangible ways to everyone with whom she came in contact. She hosted many dinners at her home for her friends during birthdays and holidays. She was a caring friend who listened and gently advised when asked. She babysat if needed and helped wherever she could to ease the pain of others. Anyone who knew her was touched forever. She always thought positively and often said, "Life is Good and We Are Happy."

She attended Parley's 5th Ward Chapel where she served as a teacher with the Primary Organization, a Ministering Sister with her sister Ida, and was a member of the Women's Relief Society Organization. She also served at the Salt Lake Temple as an Ordinance Worker from 2010 to 2014. In addition to those callings, she helped with the program at her ward and with finding members to pray at Sacrament meetings.

She worked at SelectHealth for 27 years. While at SelectHealth, she mastered skills easily and always maintained quality customer relationships. She was also said to be the expert on plan design and information.

Her talents went beyond the Ward and work. She was a veteran, a farmer, a cook, a seamstress, a world traveler, and a builder. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She was also handy with tools and could lay tiles, paint rooms and fix almost anything. She even made her own headboard for her bed.

She enjoyed the arts, hiking and snowshoeing. She volunteered for the National Veterans wheelchair games many walks and marathons. She also volunteered at the 2002 Winter Olympics, where her claim to fame was that she shook President Bush's hand.

She was a light for her family. As the eldest sister, her advice and guidance was always needed and appreciated. She communicated with love and compassion. She showed an example of how to be the best "Big" sister to her six sisters and brothers.

Services will be held at Parleys 5th Ward Chapel (2615 Stringham Ave) on February 27th at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be on February 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on February 27th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. both at the ward. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn.
