Our beloved father Ralph Guy Erskine passed away August 28, 2018.
Born May 8th, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Harry and Hazel Davis Erskine.
Married Patsy Allen in 1951. They had seven children. Divorced in 1978.
Married Mary Smit Perry in 1980. Mary brought two children into the marriage.
Ralph attended South High school. Retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 38 years, he worked as a switchman, brakeman, and yard master. He coached Rose Park Little League Baseball for many years. He loved going on Daddy-Daughter dates with his two daughters while they were in Primary. He enjoyed woodworking, stained-glass work, gardening, and going to concerts.
Survived by: children, Mike (Sheryl), Doug (Joanne), Randy (Penny), Kevin (Lynette), Holly Thurman, Todd (Tammy), Heather (Scott) Baugh. Mary's children: Karen (Bob) Zanetti, Craig Perry. 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents, his brothers Roy and Harry, and his sisters Clara, Maxine, and Marie.
Graveside services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
